The wintery weather will not stop us from getting stuck in to the winter projects lined up to continue the long term improvement programme at Point Sands.
The major project for the winter is a new water system bringing fresh clean drinking water into the park. Anyone who has visited the park in the last 20 yrs will know that our water has always come straight off the Kintyre hill grounds. Boiling drinking water or buying bottled water has always been the way but now we are looking forward to our new system.
With snow lying on the beach creating a magical winter wonderland, the news is not so good with our contractors who are based in the Borders and need to transport heavy machinary the 200 icy miles to Kintyre. Steely determination is prevailing and the phones are red hot as plans are put in place to keep the work on schedule.
Local contactors have arrived and are starting work on the new site pitches, the decking around our new clients caravans is taking shape and looking really smart!
Fingers crossed the weather improves and we can keep going...at least the sun is shining!
