End of the 2010 Season! Beginning of the Point Sands Blog!

Now that the season has come to an end we can concentrate on improving our marketing at Point Sands and staying in touch with our visitors and residents.  As many people know, we already have an active and vibrant Facebook page so it is time too compliment that with a blog!

Sunday October 31st saw us say good bye to our visitors and residents for the 2010 season. Ironically it was a beautiful day and many people were down on the beach enjoying the last of the sunshine and water skiing on the flat calm water.

Thank you to all our wonderful visitors this year, it has been a fantastic journey through our first year and we are looking forward to many more.

As Monday dawned so did the onset of the winter storms, what a difference 12 hrs can make to the weather in Kintyre!  We have been windswept and drenched ever since!

Today, Wednesday we attended the Kintyre Way AGM, it was so interesting to meet other holiday parks in the area and discuss the issues concerning many local businesses. We are very lucky that the Kintyre Way comes through our holiday park and it is always interesting to meet the intrepid walkers on their travels. Some stay with us on the campsite, choosing to take a day out to visit the island of Gigha, and others just pause for a coffee on their way to a cosy B&B!  We picked up lots of useful information and we hope to put it to good use over the coming months!
